About Care Skills Training UK
Is Care Skills Training UK CQC-aligned and CPD-accredited?
Yes. All our training is CPD-accredited and built to align with CQC's Single Assessment Framework, helping care providers evidence safe, effective and well-led practice at inspection.
Are your courses aligned with the NHS Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF)?
Yes. Our CSTF-aligned courses follow the NHS Core Skills Training Framework, making them suitable for care staff working towards NHS-recognised mandatory training standards.
What accreditations and memberships does Care Skills Training UK hold?
We are an AoHT member, ICO registered, hold iCQ Awards recognition, are certified by The CPD Group, are Disability Confident Committed, and are a member of the Restraint Reduction Network.
Who delivers the training?
Our courses are delivered by experienced trainers, many with backgrounds in the NHS and frontline social care, bringing practical, real-world expertise to every session.
Certificates & Compliance
Do I receive my certificate straight away?
Yes — we issue same-day certificates on completion, so you or your staff have compliance evidence in hand without delay.
How long is my certificate valid for?
Most of our mandatory training certificates are valid for up to 3 years. However, high-risk practical competencies — such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and practical Moving & Handling — require annual refreshers in line with NHS CSTF and CQC standards. We'd always recommend checking your employer's specific statutory refresher requirements.
Can I use these certificates for CQC inspections and compliance audits?
Yes. Our courses are built to support CQC compliance requirements, and certificates can be used as evidence of mandatory training during inspections and audits.
Can staff retake the online assessment if they don't pass first time?
Yes. If a learner doesn't pass an online assessment on the first attempt, they're given one retake at no extra cost. If the second attempt isn't successful, please contact our support team, who'll advise on next steps
Course Delivery & Locations
Are your online courses available 24/7?
Yes, our online courses and bundles are accessible 24/7, so training can fit around shift patterns rather than the other way round.
Do you offer face-to-face training as well as online courses?
Yes. Alongside our online courses, we deliver hands-on face-to-face training including Moving & Handling, Basic Life Support, Phlebotomy and Cannulation at our Ilford training centre.
Where is your training centre located?
Our training centre is based at Suite 22, Ask Office Suites, 132–134 Cranbrook Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 4LZ — easily reached from across East London and Essex.
Do you deliver training across London and Essex?
Yes, our face-to-face courses serve care providers and individual learners across Ilford, wider Essex and London, alongside our UK-wide online training.
Is Moving & Handling or Basic Life Support training available fully online?
No. Moving & Handling and Basic Life Support (BLS) involve hands-on practical assessment, so these are delivered face-to-face at our Ilford training centre. Online-only certification cannot replace the practical competency assessment required under NHS CSTF and CQC standards.
