About This Course
Builds on Level 1 with paediatric-specific resuscitation techniques, for healthcare and social care staff who work primarily with infants and children.
What You'll Learn
Recognise the main types of dementia, including Alzheimer's, vascular, and Lewy body dementia
Identify common signs, symptoms, and how they progress over time
Apply effective, person-centred communication strategies
Understand the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS, and safeguarding considerations
Support meaningful engagement and create dementia-friendly environments
Who This Course Is For
All healthcare and social care staff working with older adults, including care home staff, domiciliary care workers, and NHS healthcare assistants.
Assessment and Certification
Knowledge and scenario-based assessment (pass mark 80%, unlimited free retakes). On completion, learners receive a CPD-accredited certificate.
