About This Course
Builds on Level 1 with paediatric-specific resuscitation techniques, for healthcare and social care staff who work primarily with infants and children.
What You'll Learn
Recognise cardiorespiratory arrest in infants and children, and age-specific deterioration signs
Apply the correct compression depth and rate for infants vs. children
Manage the paediatric airway and deliver rescue breaths at the 15:2 ratio
Operate an AED safely, including paediatric pad selection
Respond to infant and child choking situations
Understand consent, parental involvement, and safeguarding in paediatric emergencies
Who This Course Is For
Healthcare and social care staff working primarily with infants and children - children's ward and paediatric ED staff, children's residential and foster care staff, school nurses, and those who've completed Resuscitation Level 1.
Assessment & Certification
Scenario-based knowledge assessment (pass mark 80%, unlimited free retakes). On completion, learners receive a CPD-accredited certificate. Annual renewal is recommended.
